Careers with Animals
With the daily grind of working a 9-5 job in an office and enduring the daily cycle that is known as the rat race, its no wonder people all over choose careers with animals. Having a career with animals mean dealing with animals over humans which I am sure a lot of you can see the upside of that. Animals never talk back and most of the time show you unconditional love so its really not that hard to settle on a career with animals if you are already an animal lover.
A great career with animals is the first obvious one, a veterinarian. Being a veterinarian is a very rewarding career for any animal lover as they can go home and sleep at night know that you helped save an animals life. Although you should be wary while being a veterinarian may sound like the ultimate profession for most animal lovers one must understand the hardships of also working in such a positions. Seeing sick animals, having to put animals to sleep is a heart wrenching task that no veterinarian wants to deal with but unfortunately is part of the job. If you truly feel like you can stomach such gut wrenching scenarios then maybe a career with animals are in your cards.
Working at a zoo can also be a great career with animals as this allows you to fully be engulfed in animals and animal lovers on a daily basis. Many years ago I had a friend who worked with the monkeys at our local zoo and absolutely loved getting up I n the morning to got to work. Unfortunately not many of us can actually say the same about our current jobs. My friend explained that feeding a baby monkey or the witnessing of a monkey giving birth to a new generation of monkeys was one of the most magical things one can experience in a career with animals.
Depending on the type of career with animals you are looking for there are numerous schools which cater to each specific field. If you are a recent high school graduate and embarking on college and can see yourself pursuing a career with animals you should speak with your guidance counsellor or university/college staff to find out what is needed for you to pursue your career with animals. |
